OLIVE OIL and MARSEILLE SOAP: authenticity and versatility made in the south! authenticity and versatility made in Provence! authenticity and versatility from the south!
We no longer need to introduce it to you: authentic Marseille soap is not limited to the Mediterranean. The first recorded soap maker in Marseille dates back to 1370, that's saying something! This soap will never cease to amaze you. A product resulting from the saponification of a mixture of soda and vegetable oils, traditional Marseille soap, to be considered "authentic," must be composed of 72% olive oil, hence its green or even brownish color. Be careful, the beige or white soap contains only palm and copra vegetable oils, which have a greater foaming power. This one is intended for laundry use: 100% biodegradable, it also has no packaging, which makes it both ecological and economical! In addition, Marseille soap has antibacterial and hypoallergenic properties, making it ideal for laundry as well as for skin hygiene. Highly recommended for oily and acne-prone skin, Marseille soap with olive oil deeply cleanses the skin and regulates sebum.
Its versatility isn't limited to laundry or cosmetics. It can prevent boo-boos by massaging the injured area with a damp bar of soap, it can also repel flies, and it can combat mildew by spraying a mixture of 1 teaspoon of Marseille soap with 1 teaspoon of baking soda in 1 liter of water on the affected plant.
There are also soaps that blend vegetable oils to provide the skin with deep hydration. This is the case with our "100g Marseille soap cube with olive oil," which is particularly gentle on the skin and composed of 70% olive oil and 30% coconut oil. It can be used on the entire body and face. Your skin will then be protected from drying out, softened, and deeply hydrated.
