Aleppo soap, the jewel of Syria
Share
Aleppo is a city in Syria, and Aleppo soap is reputed to be the oldest soap in the world! It is the origin of our famous Marseille soap. Now known worldwide, it has undeniable cosmetic properties. Composed of 5 to 55% bay berry oil, as well as olive oil, it is authentic, natural, and comes in solid or liquid form. Aleppo soap, known as royal quality, is more concentrated in bay berry oil.
The guarantees of authenticity and quality of Aleppo soap: its manufacture!
The soap is made from 4 essential ingredients: olive oil, bay berry oil, water, and natural soda. The master soapmaker creates his soap using the age-old artisanal method of cooking oils. Following this cooking process, the Aleppo soap paste rests for a whole day in copper cauldrons, then the soap mixture is poured before cooling. Once hardened and cooled, the soap is sliced by hand into bars of soap. The production time for Aleppo soap is nine months! This time corresponds to the storage and maturation time of the bars of soap, which, like good wine, will improve with age.
Its composition makes this soap a very gentle, nourishing, moisturizing product, particularly recommended for dry and fragile skin. It also has purifying and antiseptic properties and is perfect for problem skin: acne, redness, irritation, itching, cradle cap, dry skin, itching, dandruff, eczema, psoriasis, acne... A quality ally to keep preciously in your bathroom!
